Where it all began...!

Weve been camping for many years and in 2020 we decided we were due an upgraded tent for our daughters birthday camping trip.

After many weeks of research we decided to go for the outdoor revolution airdale 6 as it just seemed to be the perfect fit for us.
So off we went on our first trip with the new tent, we got to the site and started to get the tent up when we heard a pop. One of the airbeams had popped on its first outing... cue a lot of bad language from the husband and crying from the kids!
We decided to make the best of a bad situation and to not spoil our daughters birthday we stayed for one night and packed up the next day to come home. We contacted the manufacturer who was really helpful in providing a replacement beam for the tent however by this point we had lost faith in the tent and just wanted to find a new solution.

We then discussed how we would love to get a touring caravan for our next adventures. After the initial discussions our research started again and by chance we came across a bailey ranger 6 berth which was within our budget. Off we went to go view this taking my uncle with us as hes had tourers in the past and knew where to look for damp patches ect (something i know zilch about!).

We bought the van on the spot and then came to the realisation that we now owned a caravan that neither of us could tow due to not having the correct licence! Luckily the man who we bought the van off was great and offered to tow it for us!
So we got the van to a temporary storage location and began research to find a permanant storage location... wow how hard is it to find suitable storage thats not going to mean remortgaging to pay for it?! Its a complete minefield and most places have waiting lists as long as an arm!!! We finally found storage and put our caravan to its permanant staorage home! Yay!!

The next step was to get the lessons and test booked so that we could actually use the van...!
Simon booked a 8 hour lesson for the sunday and then took his test on the monday morning. Im so happy to say he passed so now our adventures can begin and we cant wait to share them with you all...!!!
